Paulo A. de Almeida is a partner at Wolf, Rifkin, Shapiro, Schulman & Rabkin, LLP. His practice is focused on prosecuting U.S. and international trademark applications at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), as well as representing clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) in ex parte appeals, oppositions, and cancellations, and trademark litigation in federal courts.  He also counsels clients in copyright clearance, licensing, and enforcement matters.

Prior to joining WRS, Paulo de Almeida was a partner at a well-known Los Angeles-based intellectual property law firm.  Before that, he served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He also held positions at Universal Music Group and Fox Entertainment Group, where he developed expertise in intellectual property licensing and enforcement.

Paulo de Almeida is of Brazilian-American descent and speaks fluent Portuguese and conversational Spanish.  Clients around the world appreciate his ability to quickly identify their most valuable intellectual property, break down complex I.P. concepts, and resolve difficult U.S. and international trademark disputes.
